Anna and Ben, the two children of Jackie and Luke, have to cope with the fact that their parents divorced and that there is a new woman in their father's life: Isabel, a successful photographer. She does her best to treat the kids in a way that makes them still feel at home when being with their dad, but also loves her work and does not plan to give it up. But Jackie, a full-time mother, regards Isabel's efforts as offensively insufficient. She can't understand that work can be important to her as well as the kids. The conflict between them is deepened by the sudden diagnose of cancer, which might may be deadly for Jackie. They all have to learn a little in order to grow together.---> this is totally a dramatic movie as two women struggle for their life. one, being the ever protective and loving mother who is also trying to survive from a fatal illness and the other as to be the stepmom who is so cheerful and energetic. its highly emotional as to how Julia tries to fit in and be a "mom" knowingly that she can never replace Susan. on the other hand for Susan, it's hard that soon she'll leave her kids not to mention to someone who has no experience in handling kids. its a movie that will really touch your hearts and end you up in tears. it has an excellent cast with two of the most sought actresses, great acting and story which brings a lot of lessons about life itself.
::: LINES :::
ISABEL: You know every story, every wound, every memory. Their whole life's happiness is wrapped up in you... every single second. Don't you get it? Look down the road to her wedding. I'm in a room alone with her, fixing her veil, fluffing her dress, telling her no woman has ever looked so beautiful. And my fear is she'll be thinking, "I wish my mom was here."
JACKIE HARRISON: And mine is... she won't.
BEN HARRISON: Mommy...
JACKIE HARRISON: What, sweetie?
BEN HARRISON: If you want me to hate her I will.
BEN HARRISON: [to Isabel] Will you sing me a song? My mom always sings to me when I get hurt.
